On coming, move from Chandigarh to Shimla, a drive of approximately 5 hours. Spend night at Shimla.
After taking breakfast, we begin our trip. Our initial stopping place is Sarahan. On the way go to Fagu, Kufri, and Narkanda, all popular for their picturesque beauty. Sarahan is enclosed by apple orchards. From Sarahan, you can eyewitness the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak (5155 metres). Spend night at hotel.
Early morning, go to the sacred temple of Goddess Bhimakali. This temple is a fantastic mixture of Hindu and Buddhist architecture. It is very spiritual to both the groups. After that, drive to Sangla, the most attractive valley of Himachal Pradesh. Sangla Valley is enclosed by high mountain peaks and green fields. Spend night at Kinner Camps, Sangla.
After taking yumy breakfast, explore the Kamakhya devi temple and Kamru Fort. Continue on a short trip to Chitkul village. Chitkul is a beautiful place. The conventional temples, Gompas, houses, and the people of Baspa valley conjure up the ideal image of Shangri La. After that, go to badri Narayan temple and Batseri. You can continue for a stroll on the glacier, after which you return to Sangla Camps. Spend night at the camp.
A 6 hour pleasant drive with a distance of 184 kms, Nako has a wonderful lake that freezes in the winter and inhabitants take part in ice hockey during this period. Here, you can explore the Padamsambhava temple, the second embodiment of Lord Buddha, who made Buddhism famous in the trans Himalayas. Also, go to the 1000yr old Nako monastery. Spend night at Kinner Camp, Nako, which is located close to the village.
After breakfast, we begin our journey by eyewitnessing the Ajanta of Himalayas - the Tabo Monastery. Tabo has the ancient caves on sterile mountains and fantastic thangka paintings, one of the most important paintings of Buddhism. On the way, go to Gui village that has a 500 year old mummy of a pondering lama in a sitting posture. This creates for an charming journey. Spend night at Kaza.
Post breakfast, leave for an short journey to Kibber village and Ki monastery, at an altitude of 4205 metres. Post lunch, a drive to the Langza - highest motorable road and on the way go to the Hikim and Komik villages. Come back to Kaza for spending night.
Today is an extensive drive over the magnificiant Kunzum La pass. Kaza to Chhota Dadarpul (3960 metres) is a sturdy drive, but the various landscapes makes your journey actually adventurous. Spend night at Keylong.
Post breakfast visit Gondla [3110 metres/18 kms], located on the right bank of the River Chandra, which is popular for its old Fort. After an early lunch, depart for Trilokinath [2660 metres/57 kms], which is famous for its Triloknath Temple, spiritual to both Buddhists & Hindus. On your return go to Udaipur [2523 metres/53 km], home to the Mrikula Devi Temple, that is popular for its wood carvings. Udaipur is situated in Upper Lahaul in the Pattan Valley. Previously, this village was called Margul, and was named again at the time of Raja Udai Singh of Chamba [1690 – 1728 AD]. Come back to Keylong, where you have spare time for shopping. Keylong is popular for natural olive & almond oil, shawls, local tweeds, caps, rugs, footwear, woolen jackets, metal craft, silver jewelry, pullovers, bamboo products & fresh fruits. Mouth watering dinner and spend night at Keylong.
After having mouth watering breakfast, explore Shasur [3 km], Guru Ghantal [8 km], and Kardang [5 km]. After taking delicious lunch, check-out from the hotel & leave for Manali. Come at Manali & check-in to your hotel. The remaining day would be spent for relaxation. Mouth watering dinner & night stay.
Today, we part ways after an incredible and long journey. Post breakfast, checkout from the hotel & leave for Chandigarh. Lunch will be on the way. Come at Chandigarh to come back home with unforgettable memories. Alternately, spend night at Chandigarh and snatch the next day flight back home.
