Begin your journey after coming at Chandigarh, from where we ride you to Narkanda, a distance of about 180 kms ( 6 hours). Spend night at hotel.
After a mouth watering breakfast, we will leave for Sangla (150 kms, it takes about 5 to 6 hours). Check-in at Sangla Journeys to begin your trip in traversing the graceful Sangla Valley, with Sangla Journeys hospitality.
Today we bring packed lunch and ride to Chitkul. Traverse the Chitkul environment, that is also known globally to produce the top quality potatoes. Stroll to Nagasti (2.5 kms), that is the last Indian civilian point. Ride back to camp, rejuvenate with snacks, coffee/tea and explore the camp area. Get yourself involved in some adventure sports like flying fox, rock climbing, and rappellling. Relish sizzling campfire at night, continued by dinner.
Stroll to Batseri village, with its latest wooden houses and the stunning wood carvings of the Lord Badrinarayan temple. After the auspicious temple visit, experience a stroll on the glacier. After that, move to the charming Rakchham village. You can bring packed lunch and keep it along the way by the river at a place where you can look the marvellous Kinner Kailash Mountain, that is said to be the winter home of the Hindu God, the great Lord Shiva. Come back to camp for night stay.
Only 60 kms from the camp, it can take over 3 hours to get into. The ride is by the wonderful lands of Powari, Karcham, and Recong Peo. Besides the fabulous close up view of the Kinner Kailash range, Kalpa also provides a great market walk. Buddhist monasteries, Gompas, and Hindu temples are extremely noticeable and creates an interesting sight.
Wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise. Besides the mountain peaks, there is a 79 foot single rock mirroring the Shivalinga, which varys colors as the days passes. Sight seeing in Kalpa is all about looking in absolute amazement at the beautiful view of Sangla. Kalpa is surrounded by forests of Chilgoza pines and apple orchards. Also the air is crisp and clean. Night stay at Kalpa.
DAY 7: KALPA TO CHAILToday we depart from the beautiful Sangla Valley and move for Chail post breakfast. Above the sea level, it lies at a height of 2250 metres. Maharaja of Patiala, Bhupinder Singh, when was expelled from Shimla, he decided to make his own summer capital, that was Chail. The attractive hill station situated amidst perfumed forests of huge deodars and chir pine, overlooking Shimla, Kasauli, and Satluj Valley are also able to seen at night from here. Night stay at Chail Palace.
DAY 8: CHAIL TO CHANDIGARHThe tour concludes on reaching Chandigarh. Leave Chandigarh to return home, bringing with you some breathtaking memories of Sangla.
